The \u201cBreaking Down Walls\u201d Event Took Place on June 11, 2022 at the Cowell Theater in Fort Mason<\/h3>\n

Breaking Down Walls<\/strong><\/em> highlights how performance arts can build common ground for recognition and celebration of shared humanity. We explore what it means to transcend today\u2019s deeply felt divisions along political, religious, social, racial and economic lines.<\/p>\n

A diverse cast of performers debuted new works created especially for this project, including Broadcast Music Award and Emmy nominee singer\/songwriter Will Hammond, Jr.; Princess Grace Award winning choreographer Mia J. Chong in collaboration with Post:ballet, Emmy Award winner musician V\u00e2n-\u00c1nh V\u00f5; innovative and educational theatre group Teatro Nagual (TeNa); artistic poets Aileen Cassinetto, Tureeda Mikell, Kim Shuck, Maw Shein Win; and prolific animation director Jaroslav Baran. The evening was emceed by Dhaya Laskhminarayanan.<\/p>\n
