A class field trip takes a group of elementary school students to Dinosaur Discovery Park, where a large number of dinosaur fossils have been found in the American West. Their teacher wanders away, leaving the children alone in the cave with their imaginations. Bones embedded in the cave wall begin to sparkle and a real live dinosaur named Ozgood materializes and begins to talk to the youngsters. He invites them to visit his home town of Harmony. As the children follow Delicate toward the bright light at the end of the cave, one by one the children are transformed into little dinosaurs and their adventure begins in the real Wild West.
Here we will meet the marshal of the town, Sky, a pterodactyl who’s afraid of heights, and Puppee, Sky’s deputy, who’s very brave but not big in the brains department. The town snoops, Emily and Charlotte Bronto, always have an ear open for good gossip. Uncle Awesome, who’s really no one’s uncle, is the town’s big bad guy. With his assistants, Slip, Clutch and Nails, he is always up to no good. But due to the intervention of Sky and Puppee, most of Uncle Awesome’s evil plans are turned into benefits for the whole town. Of course, Uncle Awesome is always hatching another plan. “Dinosaurs of the Wild West” is currently being developed as a 3D computer-generated feature film and spin-off series for TV.
